Case Study: Fortian’s Stackable NAS™
The Stackable NAS is an expandable network fileserver, with built-in reliable storage and backups for mission-critical data. Compatible with Windows, OS X, and UNIX, it provides on-site, high-speed, secure “personal cloud” storage. It constantly self-monitors, alerting operators in the event of a disk failure, and uses advanced data analysis technology to provide “all-in-one” incremental and full backups. Multiple units can be deployed, reliably synchronizing on-site or across the Internet over secure tunnels.
Fortian originally designed and implemented the Stackable NAS for internal use, but has also successfully deployed Stackable NAS systems at several client sites, including Quatrefoil Associates, the Town of Berwyn Heights, and the Naval Research Laboratory.
